Dynamic Adaptive Cooperative Routing for Emergency Data in Wireless Sensor Networks

Emergency data which mean something happened in sudden need to be dealt with timely, otherwise will bring very serious consequences. To ensure the lowdelay routing of emergency data, a novel graded routing strategy, dynamic adaptive cooperative routing (OACR) is proposed in this paper. This scheme extends the LEACH protocol to enable the multi-hop transmissions among clusters by incorporating a cooperative MISO scheme into hop-by-hop transmissions. Simulation results show that DACR significantly decreases end-to-end delay by approximately 30% for emergency data compared to the regular data. Lifetime is prolonged compared to the multi-hop LEACH.
