A Dynamic Mesh Generation Method Application in Fabric Teztures Deformation Simulation
Based upon research from the fields of fabric 3D simulation, 3D features extraction and fabric reconfigurations, this study proposes a method, integrated with the finite element method, to simulate a fabric texture dynamic deformation. With the finite element method, the fabric geometric deformation may be simulated, where the mesh generation is optimized by mesh combination and refinement. The fabric texture is integrated with its geometric deformation. Its deformation is studied and simulated according to the fixed topological structure of the regularized texture in a sense and the corresponding transformation relations for texture when the fabric geometric deformation occurs. As the system adopts an optimized algorithm, the iteration times are efficiently reduced. The experimental results show that it has a better visual effect and faster simulation.
