A Quantitative Study on Factors Affecting Heat Consumption of Residential Buildings
As a result of the increasing status of building energy saving in the construction of the building, it has become a trend that the promotion and implementation of heat metering in heating system. This measurement quantifying the heat is to enhance peoples energy awareness and consciousness of energy conservation, thus can achieve the improvement of energy efficiency of the entire construction industry and even the community. As the improvement of peoples awareness of energy-saving, they are not only concerned about the room temperature, but also calories their own room consumed. In this paper, it carries out a quantitative research to the factors affecting the heat consumption of the residential building. The rational mathematical model, which makes use of analysis heat consumption, is established. The main factors impacting residential building energy consumption are analyzed. The factors include retaining structure, heat transfer between residential units, as position, orientation, etc. Based on calculation and analysis, it is found out that there are significant differences in heat consumption with the same type and the same construction area of the unit, that because heat consumption is also impacted by the situation of the outer envelope and its area in the residential buildings different floor and location. Compared with the advantaged heating households with less outer envelope, favorable orientation full of sunshine, the disadvantaged heating households at the top floor, bottom floor, and the end of the building or with unfavorable orientation, have to consume more calories to maintain the same indoor temperature. The differences of structure and position of residential buildings as well as orientation and location of the users room cause the difference of the heat consumption. More importantly, this makes the heat charge a very complex issue. It is important that although the changing tendency of room temperature and the degree affected in residential buildings are known clearly for heat metering, the quantitative values of various factors affecting heat consumption also need to be considered. Using the method and result of this paper, the influence degree for each factor can be obtained.
