An Ezperimental Study on Operating Characteristics of DVM Air Conditioning System under Part Load Condition

An experimental study on operating characteristics under part load condition of digital variable multi (DVM) air conditioning system in hot summer and cold winter zone is conducted in this paper. The effects of outdoor air temperature and on-unit ratio on hourly work (HW), hourly heating performance factor (HHPF) or hourly energy efficiency ratio (I-LEER) are studied. The experimental results show that: (1) HW and HEER present below-concave and up-protruding distribution with PLR. (2) Under heating condition, the increasing tendency of HHPF with PLR is more obvious under higher outdoor air temperature than that is under lower outdoor air temperature. (3) Under cooling condition, the increasing tendency of HEER with PLR is more obvious under lower outdoor air temperature than that is under higher outdoor air temperature. These characteristics under part load condition are good for the economical and reliable operation of DVM air conditioning system.
