Optimum Design and Ezperimental Study on a High Efficient Adsorber-I Design and Mathematical Models
In this paper, a specially designed, high efficient plate fin type adsorber is developed to be used in a continuous silica gel adsorption refrigeration system. The adsorber is made up of 9 heat and mass transfer units. Each heat and mass transfer unit mainly includes two sheets of water channels, two sheets of silica gel channels and one sheet of mass transfer channel. The critical adsorber data are fm pitch, fin thickness and fm height. In order to optimize the design, a three layer heat transfer physical model is set up and based on this physical mode, two-dimension mathematical model is set up to analyze the influence effect by the key dimensions of the adsorber. To simplify the analysis process, mass transfer is ignored in the theoretical analysis and only sensible heat transfer is considered to analyze the adsorber heating and cooling speed.
