Numerical Simulation of GWHP With Superheated Vapor Heat Recovery

GWHP(Ground Water Heat Pump) is one of the most efficient heating and refrigeration means in the 21th century. But, same as other types of air-conditioning system, amounts of condensing heat is usually discharged into the atmosphere or carried by the cooling water. In our previous study, an experimental device of the GWHP with superheated vapor heat recovery has been established and lots of experiments have been carried out. In this paper, based on the previous experimental study, a steady numerical model of the GWHP with superheated vapor heat recovery has been built, which includes the compressor model, the heat exchanger model and expansion valve model. The simulation results have been compared with the experimental results. The results show that the simulation results are basically consistent with the experimental results, and the average relative error is about 3 percent. So it can be said that the numerical model is reliable and applicable.
