Optimum Design and Ezperimental Study on a High Efficient Adsorber-Ⅱ Optimum Design and Performance Analysis
In this paper, a specially designed, high efficient plate fm type adsorber is developed in a continuous silica gel adsorption refrigeration system. In order to optimize the design, two-dimension mathematical model for the adsorber is set up and influence effect by the key dimensions of the adsorber is analyzed. Experimental results are also presented and analyzed. Theory study demonstrates that the optimum design for this adsorber is: fm pitch should be 3~6mm, fin height should be 6~12mm and fin thickness should be 0.03~0.15mm. Experimental results show that by using this design, the adsorption/desorption time can be as short as 420 seconds. The adsorber overall heat transfer coefficient can be improved to 370.8W/(m2-℃) though the silica gels heat conductivity is only 0.175 W/(m2-℃).
