Adaptive Thermal Comfort Model in the Cold Climate
Field studies had been conducted in a university classrooms in Harbin during the early summer 2005. The object of these field studies was to assess the thermal environment and the humans adaptive model of thermal comfort in the university classrooms during the students class hours. The thermal comfort variables were measured at the same time when students were filling in the subjective questionnaires on their thermal perception/sensation and thermal comfort to the indoor environment. 135 sets of questionnaire responses were obtained. According to the responses the results reveal that the neutral operative temperature was 25.6~C (to), the direct thermal acceptability was 89.6%, and the indirect thermal acceptability was 93.3%. The adaptive model of thermal comfort was: Tcomf=0.28 x Tout+ 20.4 and similar to the other regions.
