Application of orthogonal test in the selection of human physiological parameters
Orthogonal test which based on the probability theory and mathematical statistics is present with the merits of simplifying experiment design and schedule. More else, the analysis method including range difference analysis and variance analysis which is scientific and convenient will be applied in the paper. Set the physiological parameters choosing as an example, in order to find out the suitable physiological parameter which is sensitive to environment, six options such as Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, Blood Oxygen Saturation, Blood Flow, Skin Response and Respiratory Rate is monitored. The environmental factors including temperature, relative humidity, ventilation and lighting, each of them has three levels. Thus nine conditions are conducted. The data processing includes the range different analysis and variance analysis. The information about the significance of every physiological parameter to environment factors was attained, as well as the sequence of their sensitivity and the influential degree of environmental factor on physiological parameters. From the experiment, orthogonal method is proved to be an effective and reliable form in multi-independent variable investigation. The same effects of an overall and comprehensive test can be achieved while only a minority of experiments is going on. The orthogonal method can be seen as an efficient assistant to the scientific research.
