Discussion on the Energy-efficiency and Comfort of Different Air Distribution

The numerical simulation method is used in a model experimental condition, and the model size is 2.4mx 1.2mx2.4m, which is a scaleddown 1:10 large space building model. The paper discusses both energy conservation and comfort under four kinds of air distribution based on numerical simulation. The simulation results show that: From the aspect of energy conservation, when horizontal average temperature in living domain reaches 36.85 ℃, the cooling capacity of the complete air-conditioning systems and stratification air-conditioning systems are 422W and 189W respectively. So that stratification air-conditioning systems can save 233w cooling load, and the energy-saving rate is 55.2%. Under three stratification air-conditioning systems, which are single side blowing and returning, dual blowing and retu rning, side blowing while opposite returning air distributions and complete air-conditioning system of up blowing air distributions, the ADPI of each system are as follows: 13.7%, 13.7%, 14.7% and 97.1% respectively. Above all, through numerical simulation, taking indoor comfort as well as energy conservation into consideration, stratification airconditioning system of single side blowing and returning air distribution can create a better thermal environment and is more energy-saving.
