Ezperimental Study of Indoor Temperature Distribution for Displacement Ventilation System

The effects of supply air parameters and ambient parameters on the temperature field in displacement ventilation room were investigated experimentally. The vertical temperature distribution in the room and temperature around the person under different supply air flow rates, temperatures, and ambient temperatures were measured. The comparison between numerical and experimental results shows a good agreement. The experimental results under different conditions indicate that the height of the thermal stratification rises with the increase in the supply air flow rate, but when the supply air flow rate comes up to a certain value, its influence on the vertical temperature gradient is weakened significantly. The temperature of the supplied air influences the room temperature, but not the vertical temperature gradient. The increase in the environmental temperature has little effect on the temperature in the lower zone of the room, but the temperature in the upper zone rises significantly.
