Role of Natural Ventilation in Indoor Air Temperature and Air Quality Analyses during Cooking Time
Proper natural ventilation can improve IAQ (indoor air quality) and thermal comfort simultaneous in an energy saving mode. This paper developed a dynamic single-zone model to simulate indoor temperature and indoor air pollutant concentration with function of heat and pollutant source, outdoor temperature and pollutant concentration. An example is given to illustrate window-opening size effecting on indoor air temperature and indoor pollutant concentration in different outdoor temperature. Some methods are provided to increase IAQ and to keep kitchen thermal comfort during cooking time.
