Air cleaner with various kinds of new technology and new function has developed very quickly in our country and overseas. While there is no related standard for testing these air cleaners, it is hard to evaluate these appliancescleaning efficiency. On the basis of investigating other countrys correlated standard and analyzing our countrys existing technical merit, we compose this standard Test methods of pollutant cleaning performance of air cleaner. It is the very first time to define air cleaners purify performance testing methods and calculate formulas in one standard in this area. This standard primarily amended existing technology and prescribed serious of test methods and regulations. It provides not only scientific test methods such as chemical, microbe and particulate pollutantssampling and efficiency testing ways, but also these test corresponding instruments. For instance, the 30m3 stainless steel environment test chamber, one-off passed efficiency ventilation pipeline device, telecontrol chemical pollutant generator, which is a patent for emitting pollutant into environment chamber and so on. Moreover this standard stipulate some maximum allowable concentration for the secondary pollutants come into using air cleaning machine, such as ozone and ultraviolet radiation leaked from this appliance. Not only the environment chamber test in this standard, but also the fieldwork test is stipulated. And this standard provides basic qualification conditions, technicle guideline requirements and operating methods. This standard established a uniform experimentation for air cleaner performance of various types of pollutants. With this standard, people can get an overall evaluation about the certain kind of air cleaners. Along with the development of peoples attention on IAQ and the gradually evolutive air cleaner market, this standard will help the customer to chose the most suitable air cleaner and also make the healthy development of this market It is recommended to bring this standard to other countries and make it as a consensus.
