Analysis of Indoor Swimming Pool Temperatures and Operation Regularities
The objective of this paper is to make an analysis of indoor swimming pool temperatures and regularities of the heat pump dehumidifier operating during business hours in different outdoor environment conditions. The temperatures mainly include the indoor space and pool temperature, which have an important effect on the thermal comfort of swimmers and the total energy consumption. To analyse the space temperature, the equation for PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) is applied, and the temeprature ranges of thermal comfort can be obtained. Subsequently, the model of heat and moisture load is built and different items of energy consumption are researched. In a case study, an indoor swimming pool with a heat pump dehumidifier in Shanghai is studied. A comparative study of setting values of space and pool temperature in different seasons is made on the basis of thermal comfort and system operation costs. The operation regularities of the system including total power input and detailed load flows are analysed and discussed, which lay the foundation of study on the optimization of the overall energy demand in indoor swimming pool.
