Ezperimental Study of an Micro-Combined Cooling, Heating and Power System with an Adsorption Chiller
A micro-combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system with adsorption chiller driven by a LPG & natural gas engine is presented. It has a rated electricity power of 12kW, a rated cooling power of 10kW and a rated heating capacity of 28kW. Silica gel-water is used as working pair in the adsorption cooling system. The test facility designed and built is described. Sufficient research on energy conversion and management of CCHP systems could be made by using it. Experimental methodology of this system is presented and the results are discussed. An energetic analysis of micro-CCHP system is performed as well. The overall thermal and electrical efficiency is over 70%.
