A Case Study of a Ground-Source Heat Pump System in an East China Office Building
First, the performance of a ground-source heat pump system and a water source heat pump system in an office building in East China is tested. The temperature of supply and return water of the cooler, and that of supply and return air of indoor fan coil are obtained during the summer and winter. Then, based on the field measured data, the seasonal energy efficiency ratio is calculated and the performance of heat pump system in summer is compared with that in winter. Then, according to the conditions of the real building, the software Energy Plus is used to simulate the seasonal air-conditioning load to find out the time period during which the two heat pump system can satisfy cooling and heating load, then the optimal operation control strategy is discussed. Finally, the temperature along the underground supply water pipes is collected to calculate the heat diffusivity of these pipes in the earth using a method introduced by ASHRAE, which is aimed to give some advice on the ground-source heat pump system design in this district.
