Dehumidification Assisted Evaporative Super-cooling Method for Ice Slurry Producing

Ice-storage is a potential energy-saving method for air-conditioning system. Ice-slurry is an ideal material for ice-storage. The conventional ice-slurry producing method using super-cooled water suffers from the instability of ice-block and depends heavily on electronic power. A novel ice-slurry producing system is proposed to improve this situation. This system consists of two major processes: evaporative super-cooling process and the liquid dehumidification process. The conventional diffusioncontrol equation is improved to make simulation analysis on the evaporative super-cooling process, which is examined by experiments in this paper. The theoretical conclusion agrees well with the experimental results. Comparing with the conventional system, this new system can alleviate the burden on electric power and raise the efficiency. Those improvements essentially attribute to the reutilization of the inner waste heat generated from the system itself.
