The Effects of Water Saturation Ratio on Steady Heat Transfer Characteristics of the Ezterior Wall Before and After It Is Insulated
The effects of variety water saturation ratio on the heat transfer function characteristics such as the density, heat conducting factor, heat mass and temperature field of the porous building material are analyzed on the base of the heat and water transfer principle in porous medium. The results show that the increase of the water contents of the material leads to the rising of the effective heat conducting factor. It also reduces the temperature grades in the wall and the temperature difference between the indoor and outdoor wall surfaces when the wall is exposed in the same temperature. It helps to reduce the walls heat stress, but it increases the heat mass passing through the wall. The changing water contents of the wall makes the temperature of the insulated wall changes more often than the one without insulation, and also gets the temperature of the exterior surface of the wall being much higher than the uninsulated wall in summer and lower in winter.
