Study on Preparation and Stability of Zinc Ferrite Nano-Particle Suspension of Ammonia Solution

In order to apply nano-particles to the ammonia-water absorption refrigeration. Zinc ferrite nano-particles suspension of ammonia solution with the mixed surfactants SDBS and CTAB was prepared. A series of experiments were performed to investigates the stability of the prepared nano-fluid with different concentration and proportion of surfactants, ultrasonic wave vibration time and illumination time The optimal dispersing condition was 1.5wt% SDBS, 0.015 wt% CTAB, ultrasonic vibration for 30 minutes and illumination over 72 hours. Finally, based on double electrode layer theory, the influence of concentration of surfactant on the stability of nano-particles suspension of ammonia solution was analyzed. The existence of optimal surfactant concentration was explained in accordance with experimental result exactly.
