Industrial Ecology: A New Perspective on Industrial Competitiveness

In the international economic globalization era, commerce competitiveness is not only the competitiveness between different enterprises, but also the competitiveness between industries in different areas. How to enhance industrial competitiveness in a long time has became a crucial question. This article introduces the definition, earlier attempts and development of industrial ecology. Comparing the analogues between natural ecosystems and industrial ecosystems, three aspects of industrial ecology competitiveness factors come out, which are environment adaptation factor, harmony and symbiosis factor, and resource productivity factor.
