An Optimization Model for Recycling Electronics End-of-life Products
With the increasing of environmental awareness, electronic end-of-life products which have much influence to the environment attract more and more extensive attention from government and companies. Recycling of electronic products costs much and has the feature of uncertainty, and more importantly, participates in the collection range much in the cost-benefit. All of these eventually lead to the decision of the foundation of the reverse logistics chain. In this paper, the reverse logistics for the recycling of electronic end-of-life products are studied; the recycling process and approach are analyzed, and its impact on collectors and smelters are also analyzed. On this basis, the method of costbenefit is used to make up the model and optimize costs and benefits for the participants involved in electronic product recycling. The study will help build a stable reverse logistics network for electronic products to reduce the uncertainty of recovery.
