Process and Characteristic Analyses of Financial Service Innovation

With the coming of the service economy, knowledgeintensive service innovation means more and more to the competency of the enterprises and the economic growth of the nation. This paper develops a representative process of financial service innovation through literature review and case study. Its recovered that there are three stages existed in the process of financial service innovation, namely concept stage, development stage and introduction stage which are mainly participated by three organizations: service enterprises front desk employees, the background staffs and customers. The degree of participation in three stages and the aim of those three organizations are different. Intangibility, synchronization of production and consumption heterogeneity and knowledge-intensive are the characteristics of financial service. Based on these characteristics, this paper emphasizes the influences of financial service innovation related to the comparable analysis of technology innovation.
