Career Planning is an Important Means of Modern Human Resource Management
The proportion of the knowledge worker in enterprise is increasing by analysis of the number of graduates from universities and undergraduates still in universities, enrollment and the trends of their change, the knowledge workers management becomes more important than before. To the retrospect of the development course of human resources management in developed countries, the knowledge workers management and general workers management is significantly different. Career planning plays key role in the knowledge workers management. Due to lack of career planning in Chinese enterprises, especially private ones, there are two main problems in the knowledge workers management: First, the knowledge workers lack the sense of identity with the enterprises. It is difficult to according their self values to the enterprises development, which cause frequently job-hopping phenomenon; second, considering the knowledge workers change their jobs frequently, the enterprises always lack of investment in their employees farther education and vocational development. To get rid of the wrong cycle in knowledge workers management, we must enhance career planning, motivate the knowledge workers of the enterprises, identify the knowledge workers with the enterprises they worked and feel successful based on the exact developing goals.
