On the Tacit Knowledge Transfer Method in the Technology Research and Development of Chinese High-tech Manufacture Enterprises

Knowledge can be divided into explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge. The former is only part of the whole enterprise knowledge on surface. Most of the knowledge under water consists of tacit knowledge. The competitiveness of the enterprise depends on the accumulation of complementary knowledge as this knowledge can not be obtained by others. Generally speaking, tacit knowledge is more perfect than explicit knowledge and can create more value. The ability of the exploration and utilization of tacit knowledge will become the key for individuals and organizations to succeed. The technological research and development (R&D) of Chinese high-tech manufacture enterprises is a complex systematic project which involves much unknown tacit knowledge. This knowledge plays an essential role in their performance in the R&D activities. As such, it is necessary to study the mechanism and method of the tacit knowledge transfer in the innovation team during the technological R&D of Chinese high-tech manufacture enterprises.
