A Risk Analysis Proposal Towards Implementation of Planned Maintenance System Onboard Ships
Planned maintenance system (PMS) is recognized as a guide for shipboard personnel to achieve the system-based maintenance operations effectively. The system complexity and operating environment of ships allow serious events, which might lead to interrupt the implementation of PMS requirements in previously planned schedules. This paper explores and quantifies those hazards based on a factor-based risk analysis approach under fuzzy environment. The quantitative results derived from the proposed approach can be traced to enhance safety barriers onboard ships.
