Concepts of Crop Insurance and Implications for Improving Crop Insurance in China

摘要：

The objective of this paper is to explain the fundamental concepts underlying crop insurance. The conditions that are necessary for crop insurance to be successful are pointed out, and challenges for crop insurance are also discussed, along with some possible solutions. The paper also touches on the background of China with respect to crop insurance, along with the advantages of crop insurance for China. Some of Canadas experience with crop insurance is also has discussed.
