The Asian Disaster Reduction Center and Its Activities
The Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC) is an international organization based in Kobe with the functions to build a network for promoting multinational disaster reduction cooperation through the exchange of administration officials of Asian countries and experts in various fields so as to build capabilities of adapting to naturals disasters in the Asian region. This paper describes the outline of the ADRC and introduces various activities of the ADRC. GLIDE, Global unique disaster IDEntifier, which gives common but unique numbers to disasters all over the world, will be taken up for details among others.
