Damage Characteristics of and Lessons from Wenchuan Earthquake
Wenchuan Earthquake that occurred in May 12, 2008 was the biggest one after 1976 Tangshan Earthquake in China. Based on a field survey and mass media analysis, disaster characteristics are discussed and some lessons from Wenchuan Earthquake are summarized to improve urban and regional disaster risk management and urban & regional planning.
