Land Use Planning in the Vicinity of Major Hazard Installation Based on Quantitative Risk Assessment
Land use planning for major hazard installations was one of the key methods to control accidents. The procedure for land use planning based on quantitative risk assessment was performed. Individual risk and societal risk for a chlorine storage tank were calculated according to the credible accident scenarios. Using the acceptable criterion for individual risk and societal risk, the approaches of land use planning were proposed which including reorganization and relocation for major hazard installation as well as the changing for the land using character around the major hazard installation.
