Dealing with Crises: Using Simulations to train for Underground Crises
This paper is concerned with simulation exercises used to train key response agencies for crisis situations. While multiagency simulations are increasingly acknowledged as a necessary and significant training tool for emergency response organisations, however, many current crisis simulations seem to be only focused on revision of existing response plans. It is argued in this paper that such a current practice of simulation might be inappropriate for crisis situations, through investigating two different underground fires.
