Element Optimization in Mized FM-BEM
Based on the fast multipole booundary element method(FM-BEM), a new mixed FM-BEM was preseted in this paper. The incompatible elements were intriduced in shape function, it was used in contact area. In the contact peoblems, combined with compatible elements and incompatible elements were used as interpolation functions. On the one hand, this measure is good for avoiding to satisfy the precise coordinate which caused by the compatible, on the other hand, the merits of mixed FM-BEM are retained. Through example analyzing, the new mixed FM-BEM is significantly improved in calculation time, calculation continuity is also batter than the original method. Especially with the increase of degree of freedom, the calculation time growth slower than the original method. This new mixed FM-BEM provided a theoretical basis for solving the large-scale engineering problems.
