Solving Poisson equation by singular boundary method
This paper extends the singular boundary method (SBM) to solve the Poisson equation. The singular boundary method (SBM) is a novel meshfree method, which can solve the homogeneous solution of Poisson problems with only boundary discretization. This method distributes the source points on the real boundary by using the numerical technique to eliminate the singularity of the diagonal of interpolation matrix. To evaluate the particular solution, this study employs the dual reciprocity method (DRM) to approximate the right hand side by multi-quadrics (MQ) basis function. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method are numerically demonstrated through solving the Poisson problems in different physical domains.
