Model Building and Numerical Optimization for the FM-BEM Frictional Contact System

Model building and FM-BEM solution are studied for the frictional contact system. The solution of the system of equations is reduced to a variational problem. They are proved to be equivalent. On the basis of the optimization mathematical model for the frictional contact system, a quadratic programming model is established by introducing a strictly convex quadratic function. Its optimum solution is demonstrated to be existent and unique. In addition, optimality conditions are presented for the new model.
