Ezperimental Research and Analysis of Car-Fire Spread in Mechanical Parking Building
(0) Mechanical Parking Building is an effective way to assist government to solve the parking difficulties nowadays.Since the cars are commonly piled up closely in mechanical parking buildings, fire spread in it draws focus of common attention.In this paper, for the first time, a unit of one kind of prevalent mechanical parking building made of concrete was built and one full-scale fire experiment involving 3 cars was carried out. One of the cars was ignited inside the engine compartment with a gasoline spill. The temperature of different location inside the burning car and the adjacent cars were obtained. The flame spread order was analyzed and the possibility of ignition of the adjacent cars was investigated.
