Research on the Fire Risk of Coal-bed Methane Power Generation and Fire Prevention Measures
Since the beginning of the 21st century, the situation of energy shortage is increasingly serious, while the coal-bed methane is becoming a new type of fuel with prosperous prospect of use, whose development and utilization is gradually appreciated by countries all over the world. China, as the country with abundant coal resources, has been paying much attention to the development and utilization of coal-bed methane, especially to its application in power generation industry. Coalbed methane power generation technology has made great progress in recent years, but the following safety issue needs wide public concern. The authors researched on the fire risk in the process of coal-bed methane power generation from the view of fire prevention, and discussed the applications of the water spray system and the combustible gas detector in the fire prevention during the coal-bed methane power generation.
