Discussion on fire-fighting of the buildings ezternal decoration and ezternal thermal insulation on walls from two fire cases

The paper examines two similar fires-which shows that the spread and the losses of the two fires are quite different because the two buildings use decoration materials with different combustion function on the external walls, it also discttsses the sorts and the fireproof function of the current buildings external decoration materials and their external thermal insulation materials on walls, as well as the related technical specification in China and abroad, It points out the disparity between the Chinese technical specification and the foreign one in this respect, and looks for ward to improving the related specification or code of fire-fighting about the buildings external decoration and their external thermal insulation for the purpose of ensuring the safety in buildings.
