Information Technology in protected cultivation in the Netherlands

Through the use of advanced technology, in The Netherlands, protected cultivation combines a high productivity with high product quality. Economy, market competition, legislation and consumer demands, require efficient and effective use of natural resources as well as reduction of environmental impact. In this paper, the information technology used to achieve these objectives is presented.
