DESIGN AND APPLICATION OF AN ELECTRONIC NOSE SYSTEM BASED ON ARM9
A design of the embedded electronic nose has been presented including the sensor array, analog-to-digital and microprocessor three modules. Using the sensor array composed of three gas sensors, namely TGS813, tGS825 and TGS880 produced by Figaro company to collect sample signal; Using MAX1270 chip produced by MAXIM company For analog-to-digital conversion; Using S3C2410 microprocessor produced by SAMSUNG company as CPU, and translating embedded operating system WINCE on it. The signal is simulated by logarithm curve in the software design, then using BP neural network to train the curve parameters and build the module to identify the samples. Using this system to identify Italian Ambrosi cheese with four different production dates, the recognition accuracy reaching 100%, identify pure milk in three different companies, and the recognition accuracy reaching 100% too. The results show that the system has many advantages such as small size, light weight, easy to use, high recognition accuracy, etc.
