RESEARCH ON PRECISE FEEDING SYSTEM OF DAIRY CATTLE
The new precise feeding system and relevant technology, including RFID, network based on ZigBee, measuring technique etc, are presented in this paper. The precise feeding system is composed of central computer, precise feeding devices and wireless network that build up the distribute system. The core technology of precise feeding device for dairy cattle is identification of individual dairy cattle. The RFID will be integrated in the system which is a non-contact identification technology. The electrical ring made according to IS011784 or IS011785 international standard will be wore by individual dairy cattle which can identify each dairy cattle. The information of the cattle will be checked by the system and certain amount of forage will be given. On the course of intake, all feeding data will collected by the system such as the unique electrical code, actual intake forage amount, feeding time, feeding velocity etc. The feeding formula will be given by program running on central computer which is connected to precise feeding device by ZigBee network. Some interfaces of system will be reserved for the extending function which can easily update system. The precise feeding system could provide a solution of high efficiency and high benefit for dairy farming.
