THE STUDY OF FIELD INFORMATION REMOTE COLLECTION AND MONITORING SYSTEM BASED ON GPS, EDGE AND LABVIEW TECHNOLOGY

In order to collect field information efficiently and to achieve precision management of agricultural production, a system was designed, which could remote acquire field information and monitor the process of acquire information based on GPS, EDGE and the software of LabVIEW technology. A set of portable multi-parameter field information collection instrument has been designed based on the single-chip, GPS and sensor technology to collection numbers of field information. In this instrument built a GPS-OEM Module and use of a sensor shared interface mode could access soil moisture content, soil temperature, soil conductivity, compactness and environmental information such as temperature, humidity and other environmental information of field. Based on coverage, transmission speed fast, low fees of EDGE technology, the field information of system collection was transmitted in real-time and fast to PC. A platform was designed by using LabVIEW8.20 software on PC for field information collection, management and web publishing. The field information was transmitted into database by EDGE technology and to storage, and the Web Sever technology that included in the LabVIEW was used to publishing the data into website and real-time detection. The client PC could control the information collection based on network. The system use multi-function information collection instrument and high speed transmission technology can achieve collection for field information in real-time, efficient, accurate and low-cost, and has a wide range of applications in precision agriculture decision-making.
