THE DEVELOPMENT OF FIELD INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BASED ON TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND GIS
The remote intelligent management of real-time field information meets the needs of precision agriculture development. The Field Information Management System is developed based on the technology of telecommunications and GIS. The system receives the real-time field information from the wireless mobile terminals (PDA) through GPRS, and stores the field information into the field information database. The field information is analyzed, processed according to the field information process model, and showed visually in order to provide support for the decision-making in field variable control. According to the primary functions of Field Information Management System, the system is divided into 6 modules, which are the information communication module, the mobile terminals management module, the data management module, the map management module, the data analysis module, as well as field decision-making module. Field Information Management System realizes the seamless connection between remote server and mobile terminals by the wireless data communication. The system can manage the remote real-time field information intelligently. Field Information Management System lays the foundation for digital agriculture.
