Influence of Fracture Process Zone on Fracture Criterion of Concrete
Based on the double-K fracture criterion and the linear asymptotic superposition assumption, the influence of fracture process zone on fracture toughness is researched by analyzing the nonlinear fracture characteristics of the single and mixed cracks. A method of determining the critical effective crack length under load -displacement curve when the crack is unstable is introduced. The critical effective crack length considering the influence of fracture process zone of the test specimens of a series of fracture tests is obtained by analyzing the test curves with this method, and the failure fracture toughness is determined with the critical effective crack length. Based on result, the series of concrete fracture K criterion considering the influence of fracture process zone is established.
