Estimation of Radiated Emissions from Multilayered Printed Circuit Board by Common-Mode Antenna Model
I.INTRODUCTION It is well known that common-mode radiation from a printed circuit board (PCB) causes EMI problems. A simple model of electromagnetic behavior of a PCB is required to control electromagnetic interference(Eml). The authors have proposed a simplified antenna model named as common-mode antenna model that quickly calculate the common-mode radiation 1, 2. As for the common-mode radiation from 2-layered PCBs with a signal trace and an adjacent ground plane, the common-mode antenna model is able to estimate the radiation within engineering accuracy and much faster than the simulation model with fine mesh2.
