From Supply Chains to Sustainability Chains: A Perspective on Chinese Private Firms

Observing that repeatedly-taking-place Chinese corporate social responsibility (CSR) incidents are threatening the safety of supply chains from the perspective of Chinese private firms, the paper gives an analysis regarding how to have supply chains transit to sustainability ones. Given Chinese specific cultural context, we argue that upholding the pro-sustainability humanism, philosophy and philanthropy oriented conduct principles and carrying out pro-sustainability stakeholders-engaging decision mechanism would be an outlet by discussing how Chinese private firms undertake survival philosophy and practices transformation with a conceptual framework.
