Evolution and Progress of Research on Corporate Social Responsibility at Home and Abroad
Since Sanlu Event in China and the series of other events, the society has paid more attention to corporate social responsibility(CSR), and to undertake CSR becomes the wave of the future. Firstly, this paper summarizes the development of foreign CSR studies, and comments on the relations between CSR and the financial performance and the corporate governance, as well as CSR of supply chains and small and medium-sized enterprises. Secondly, this paper summarizes the current situation of domestic research and practice of CSR, and finds a big gap in the research on CSR of supply chains and the small and medium-sized enterprises. Finally, it points out the deficiency and development prospects of domestic CSR research through a comparative analysis of the domestic and international study of CSR.
