Acculturation Modes Study in Cross-culture Communication of Multinational Corporations
Analysis of acculturation has become an important item in multinational corporations. Cross-cultural problems are the biggest challenges multinational corporations face while operating overseas. The key element for realizing cross-cultural success is to find the joint of different cultures. Various cultures could deepen mutual understanding, communication, interpenetration, and alimentation absorption through the joint. Acculturation is forming and growing through this process. On this aspect, many multinational corporations have established different effective cross-cultivation modes. Studying these successful modes will provide important revelations to Chinese corporations on their way of globalization. They could overcome the cross-cultural obstacles and adapt to the demand towards globalization. The paper describes acculturation phases in the context of cross-culture communication. Starting from the research trends of acculturation, the paper introduces patterns of acculturation, points out acculturation problems existing in multinational corporations, and finally proposes acculturation strategies to be implemented in cross cultural management. Internal and external factors which influence acculturation are also analyzed. Furthermore, ten principles that acculturation should follow are designed in the paper as well. A new mode for acculturation is brought forward after the design of effective means for acculturation.
