Inspection methods, tools and results from a Manual Handling of loads Campaign in Norway

The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority has given workrelated musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) top priority. One of our main projects regarding the prevention of MSDs, Rett Belastning, was the Norwegian part of the European campaign Lighten the Load. The campaign has been successful. A lot of inspected enterprises consider our interventions as a help to become better to assess risk for MSDs. This paper describes the inspection method, the tools and the results from the Rett Belastning Campaign 2007-2008.
