Intervention of musculoskeletal disorders in a Korean manufacturing plant
Work related musculoskeletal disorders have been a problem for decades in Korea but this became a hot issue because many workers started to report musculoskeletal disorders since 2002 when the Korean government enacted a law requiring all owners of Korean companies to check and improve jobs at work places to reduce work related musculoskeletal disorders. The objective of this paper is to present an ergonomic study at steel mills and discuss the intervention methods for compliance with the musculoskeletal disorder prevention law.
