Ergonomics aspects of users’ interaction in a learning virtual environment

The aim of this study is to discuss the issue of navigability in an application provided by an engineering school, emphasizing the end users role as a co-participant in the design of computerized interfaces. In this sense, the computerized system is more than a tool, it is the means by which the pedagogical relationship is established and maintained. From this point of view, the evaluation of a course or program on a computer platform must verify, among other variables, the degree of adequacy of the interface used for the teachers task and how much it helps him in his work. The issues underlying these assumptions and that guide the collection of data were analyzed in the expectation of demonstrating the relationship between the teacher and his tasks and the tools functions, as well as the strategies utilized to perform his or her tasks.
