Organizational Design of a Center for Psychosocial Care (CAPS)
This work presents some results of a field study based on an action-research study which followed the Ergonomic Work Analysis approach. This ergonomic action was focused on understanding the work of professionals at a CAPS (Center for Psychosocial Care), a unit of the Brazilian public health system devoted to caring for individuals with mental health disturbances. In particular, it presents recommendations for a new organizational design, one of the main studys objectives. Another result of this study was that it highlights the unusualness of this proposal. Presently there are very few studies that deal with the perspective of working professionals in the CAPS services.
